Support Solitary Bees with a Bee Hotel.
Do something rewarding for nature by giving a home to small, hardworking insects like solitary bees.
Types of Solitary Bees Bee hotels provide nesting spaces for cavity-dwelling bees such as mason bees, leafcutter bees, and yellow-faced bees. In the wild, these species usually settle in hollow stems or old beetle burrows.

How to Build One
You can easily create a bee hotel using natural materials like bamboo, untreated wood, or hollow plant stems. Be sure to drill or include holes of different diameters so that a variety of species can use them.
Encouraging Guests
For best results, place the bee hotel in a sunny position facing south or southeast, where it will stay dry and sheltered from rain.
Why It Matters
By offering a safe place to nest, you’ll be helping solitary bee populations thrive—supporting pollination in your garden and contributing to healthier ecosystems.
